"If you like liquid lunches as much as Japanese art and culture, you're going to love this sake and ceramics showdown. Sought-after Japanese potter Shinsaku Nakazono will fashion you a unique take-home sake cup for the event, marking his first solo exhibition in Hong Kong. Out of this exquisite creation you will taste eight signature sakes from the historic Yorozuya Sake Brewery, which still exists in the very same place it was founded in 1790, where it continues to use water from the springs of Mt. Fuji.
This evening of alcoholic and artistic acclaim will be hosted by PMQ’s Waka Artisans pottery shop, whose founder Takako Kosciuszko first started working with fine ceramics as a chef, during which time she served UK Prime Minister David Cameron."
We collaborated with Shari Shari Kakigori Cafe at the PMQ Christmas Market this year to provide a truly authentic Japanese experience selling delicious Japanese sweets with beautiful artisan handmade pottery. Amongst the tasty delights we featured choux pastries and Japanese cheese cake straight from Hokkaido, along with some traditional and intricately crafted wagashi bean paste treats.
To go with all this we will had unique pottery from a selection of Waka's favourite artists. Each piece in our collection has been carefully handcrafted by studio potters, making every item completely unique. For the Christmas market we put together a collection that will delight people of all ages and tastes. They were the perfect Christmas present for those who love Japanese food and culture.
