SAKAMOTO COLLECTION: RIE & MADOKA SAKAMOTO
By using the traditional techniques of lacquerware, Rie and Madoka Sakamoto are looking to reinvent the way in which we use these materials through designing a range of beautiful lacquerware accessories. The collection is designed under an idea of gaining a balance between the traditional beauty of Japanese lacquerware with the usefulness and fashion of modern design. The Sakamoto Collection has been featured numerous times overseas, most notably included as part of the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art. |
