Based in Kochi, Daisuke Nagano has been making ceramics inspired by the beautiful nature using his wood-firing kiln. Nagano creates his own glaze by mixing ashes of burned straw and wood from local farm in Kochi. The final result of each piece of work depends on the thickness of ash glaze he applies, the type of plant he burns to make the glaze, and the way he fires the pots. Therefore, every single piece of him is one-of-a-kind.
