Hideaki Numano

Numano’s works are mainly glazed with layers of mud and decorated with bold red, gold and silver. Using music to give him rhythm, Numano creates his shapes with precise yet fluid movements. His relaxed and friendly nature is reflected in the warmth of his works.

1997   Graduated from Bunka Gakuin Art College,

           Department of Ceramics

1997   Studied at Ibaraki Prefecture Ceramic Training College, Glazing Major

1999   Apprentice to Hiroshi Komazawa

2001   Set up his own kiln at Iwamoto-cho, Ibaraki Prefecture

2006   Moved to Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture
