To celebrate the opening of Kayin Lam’s exhibition "Forms of Stillness", we are proud to host a one-off Ikebana workshop with the accomplished Ikebana master Makiko Morange. This special trial class is perfect for those looking to experience the beauty and harmony of Japanese flower arrangement for the first time.

Sessions: 11:00–11:45 AM / 12:15–1:00 PM / 4:00–4:45 PM
Location: Waka Artisans, 40A Upper Lascar Row, Sheung Wan
Ticket Price: HK$380 per person
Includes: Access to Kayin’s handcrafted cylinder and round vases, hands-on learning of the cross technique for using branches, basic flower arrangement skills, necessary tools and materials for use during the workshop, and taking home the flowers.
About Makiko Morange
Makiko Morange, Master of Sogetsu School and Assistant teacher at Sogetsu Headquarters, is an internationally respected ikebana master. With extensive experience teaching and exhibiting ikebana in Korea, Japan, France, Belgium, and Hong Kong, she brings a global perspective to this traditional art form. Inspired by the Sogetsu School’s philosophy of "anytime, anywhere, anyone," her teaching opens the door for everyone to enjoy the beauty and elegance of floral art.

"Forms of Stillness" - Ceramic Exhibition by Kayin Lam

"Forms of Stillness" presents Kayin Lam’s handcrafted vases and wares, influenced by her ikebana studies under Makiko Morange. The collection features natural textures, geometric forms, and a palette ranging from soft hues to deep blacks, reflecting the quiet beauty of imperfections. Each piece invites calm and balance into daily life.

Ikebana Demonstration: 2:30 PM on 30th May
Makiko Morange will present a live ikebana demonstration starting at 2:30 PM on the same day. She will create flower arrangements using three of Kayin Lam’s featured vases from the "Forms of Stillness" exhibition.
This demonstration is free of charge. Everyone is welcome to join and witness the art of ikebana come to life!
